
On Monday, November 13, the noble Knight Grand Cross of Grace Antonio di Janni, Vice Delegate for Sicily, accompanied by the Noble Knight of Grace Prof. Manlio Corselli, was received at the 4th Flight Department building of the State Police, located inside Palermo’s “Boccadifalco” Airport, by Deputy Questore Dr. Antonio Molinaro, First Director of the State Police and Pilot Commander of the Department.
Also present with him were the Major Pilot Officer Dr. Paolo Bulgarella and the retired Public Safety Official Dr. Fabio Melchiorre.
Commander Molinaro conversed cordially with the Deputy Delegate, thanking him for this welcome visit, and had the pleasure of leading him to the hangar housing the helicopter assigned to the department, where he went on to explain the operational use of the aircraft and its technical features.
The Vice Delegate, Dr. Di Janni, carefully followed the explanations of Commander Molinaro and expressed his appreciation for the efficiency of the 4th Flight Department of the State Police, which watches over the safety of the citizens in the Palermo area with dedication.
Returning to the Commander’s office, Dr. Molinaro, together with the colleagues present, expressed significant appreciation for the solidarity work carried out by the Constantinian Order of St. George and asked the Delegate to convey his greetings to the Grand Master of the Order.
Before bidding farewell to the welcome guests, the First Director, Dr. Antonio Molinaro, wished to honor the Deputy Delegate with the gift of a publication on the service activities of the Department under his command.

On Wednesday, November 15, the Deputy Delegate went to the “Casa del Sorriso” (House of a Smile) to donate several hundred notebooks intended for the first classes of primary school. The educational materials were handed over to the volunteer, Andrea. The facility, located in Partinico as well as Monreale, accommodates children of various ages from at-risk families and is managed by the Franciscan Father Francesco Biondolillo.

On Wednesday, November 15, the customary donation of early childhood supplies for the “Briciole di Salute” Project took place in Monreale. The distribution was held in the premises annexed to the Constantinian church of Maria SS degli Agonizzanti in Piazza Guglielmo II. The Vice Delegate, along with the meritorious members Antonella Zito and Marco Scolaro, donated baby clothes, baby food, biscuits, baby pasta, milk, and also some small cakes. As happens every year, the older children also received mini pandoro cakes. Several notebooks were also donated for primary school children.

On Saturday, November 25, at the Benedictine Abbey of San Martino delle Scale, before a tour organized with several guests to raise awareness about the wonders of the Abbey, the Vice Delegate donated various early childhood supplies and notebooks for primary school children from destitute families to the Benedictine Caritas. The Vice Delegate, alongside Dames Eugenia Ferro and Patrizia Biagi, handed over the supplies to Don Bernardo, the head of the Benedictine Caritas. Immediately following the visit to the Abbey, the Most Reverend Father Abbot Don Vittorio Rizzone met the Knights and their guests for lunch, leaving them amazed and fascinated by the beauty of the Abbey and its seven cloisters.

At the conclusion of the distribution of children’s supplies in the Constantinian church of Maria SS degli Agonizzanti in Monreale, the Vice Delegate for Sicily, Noble Antonio di Janni, Knight Grand Cross of Grace, presented the Silver Medal of Merit to the meritorious Marco Scolaro, who has been assisting and collaborating with the “Briciole di Salute” Project for years.

On November 14, a Solemn Pontifical Mass was celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of Acireale on the occasion of the Feast of the Translation of the Relics of Saint Venera, Virgin and Martyr, patron saint of the city. The Solemn Mass was celebrated by His Eminence the Most Reverend Cardinal Paolo Romeo, and saw the participation, in addition to the gathered faithful, of the highest civil and military authorities, representatives of the Royal Chapel of Santa Venera, and a representation of the chivalric orders present in the area. Representing the Sicily Delegation were Knights Paolo Bella, Massimo Putrino, Giuseppe Longo, Giuseppe Di Gregorio, Giovanni Brachitta, and Diego Bellia. At the end of the Solemn Pontifical Mass, the Parish Priest of the Cathedral Basilica, Don Mario Fresta, in agreement with His Eminence the Most Reverend Cardinal Paolo Romeo, thanked the chivalric orders for their participation, renewing the invitation to carry out their constant commitment in the territory with charity and a sense of Christian spirit.
