Tragedies such as the one in Crans-Montana remind us how essential it is to pay attention to the psychological dimension of those who have lost their loved ones, as well as of those who survived but sustained injuries that will accompany them for the rest of their lives. It is in this spirit that the Order, through the Constantinian Foundation ETS, has chosen to provide concrete support on the ground by assisting the Italian Society of Emergency Psychology (SIPEM), Lombardy section. The families of the victims, the survivors, as well as their classmates and teachers, are facing a profound emotional burden marked by shock, a sense of loss, fear, and unanswered questions. SIPEM psychologists offer them listening, support, and appropriate tools to help them cope with this severe ordeal. Caring for mental health means helping people not to remain alone in their pain and to gradually rediscover a possible sense of balance.
