Solemn investiture ceremony of the Dames and Knights of the Order and International Pilgrimage of the Order entitled “Spiritu Ambulemus” (Let us walk in the Spirit)

Rome, October 29th, 2025 – On the morning of Saturday, October 25th, the solemn investiture ceremony of the Dames and Knights of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George took place at the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome.

The new members of the Order were welcomed into the Sacred Militia by His Royal Highness Prince Carlo of Bourbon of Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, Grand Master and Head of the Royal House, by H.R.H. Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon of Two Sicilies, Duchess of Calabria and Palermo, by H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon of Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, and by H.E. Don Francesco, Prince Ruspoli, Grand Chancellor.
During the ceremony, His Most Reverend Eminence Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints and Grand Prior of the Order, reiterated the message of peace of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, reminding the new members that the true essence of a knight is to serve the most vulnerable with humility and love.

In the afternoon, the Dames and Knights from numerous countries, after passing through the Holy Door of the Pontifical Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, took part in the Order’s international pilgrimage, on the occasion of the Ordinary Jubilee Year, significantly titled “Spiritu Ambulemus” – Let us Walk into the Spirit. This initiative was born from the inspired and fervent will of His Royal Highness Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, in harmonious collaboration with His Eminence the Most Reverend Cardinal Marcello Semeraro and the highest officials of the Order, attending the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by the Cardinal himself.
H.R.H. the Duke of Castro was accompanied by H.R.H. Princess Camilla, Duchess of Castro, and her daughters, T.R.H. Princesses Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara, H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, H.R.H. Prince Casimiro of Bourbon Two Sicilies with his daughters T.R.H. Princesses Elena Sofia and Anna Cecilia and H.R.H. Prince Francesco of Bourbon Two Sicilies with his son H.R.H. Prince Antoine and his sister H.R.H. Princess Maria Annunziata of Bourbon Two Sicilies.

This event, rich in symbolism and full of Christian charity, helped to revive the chivalric and missionary spirit of the Order, as well as its vocation to serve the Holy Church and the most vulnerable and needy of our time. Indeed, the entire charitable effort is intended to support the noble “Case Famiglia” project of the Circolo S. Pietro, which provides free accommodation to indigent families with children hospitalized at the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital. At the conclusion of the Solemn Ceremony, a gala luncheon was held in the halls of the Circolo della Caccia, attended by numerous figures from the aristocratic, diplomatic, and institutional worlds, both national and international. Highlighting these moments of deep significance was the meeting held this morning between H.R.H. the Head of the Royal House and the President of the Circolo S. Pietro, Marchese Niccolò Sacchetti. On this occasion, the Constantinian Order donated €100,000, largely thanks to the generosity of the Knights and Dames of the Order, and partly through the Ordine Costantiniano Charity ETS Foundation, at the express wish of the Grand Master. The Circolo S. Pietro, a true expression of Christian charity inspired by Blessed Pope Pius IX toward the poor of the city of Rome, continues to stand as a beacon of solidarity and service to those most in need.
