Rome, October 29th, 2025 – On the morning of Saturday October 25th, the solemn investiture ceremony of Dames and Knights of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George took place at the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome.
The new members of the Order were welcomed into the Sacred Militia by His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Bourbon of Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, Grand Master and Head of the Royal House, by H.R.H. Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon of Two Sicilies, Duchess of Calabria and Palermo, by H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon of Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, and by H.E. Don Francesco, Prince Ruspoli, Grand Chancellor.
During the ceremony, His Eminence the Most Reverend Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints and Grand Prior of the Order, reiterated the message of peace of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, reminding the new members that the true essence of a knight is to serve the weakest with humility and love.

In the afternoon, Dames and Knights from numerous nations, after passing through the Holy Door of the Pontifical Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, took part in the Order’s international pilgrimage, on the occasion of the Ordinary Jubilee Year, significantly titled “Spiritu Ambulemus” – We Walk in the Spirit. The pilgrimage, born from the inspired and fervent desire of His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, in harmonious agreement with His Eminence the Most Reverend Cardinal Marcello Semeraro and the highest officials of the Order, attended the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by the Cardinal himself. H.R.H. the Duke of Castro was accompanied by H.R.H. Princess Camilla, Duchess of Castro, and her daughters, T.R.H. Princesses Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara, H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, H.R.H. Prince Casimir of Bourbon Two Sicilies with his daughters T.R.H. Princesses Elena Sofia and Anna Cecilia and H.R.H. Prince Francesco of Bourbon Two Sicilies with his son H.R.H. Prince Antoine and his sister H.R.H. Princess Maria Annunziata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.

This event, rich in symbolism and filled with Christian charity, helped revive the Order’s chivalric and missionary spirit, its vocation to serve the Holy Church and the most vulnerable and needy of our time. All charitable efforts, in fact, are intended to support the noble project”Family Homes” of the Circolo S. Pietro, which offers free shelter to needy families with children hospitalized at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital. Following the Solemn Ceremony, a gala luncheon was held in the halls of the Circolo della Caccia, attended by numerous national and international dignitaries from the aristocratic, diplomatic, and institutional worlds. These profoundly meaningful moments were sealed this morning by the meeting between H.R.H. the Head of the Royal House and the President of the Circolo S. Pietro, Marchese Niccolò Sacchetti. On this occasion, the Constantinian Order donated €100,000, due largely to the generosity of the Knights and Dames of the Order and partly to the Constantinian Order Charity Foundation ETS at the express request of the Grand Master. The Circolo S. Pietro, an authentic expression of the Christian charity desired by Blessed Pius IX for the poor of the city of Rome, continues to be a beacon of solidarity and service to those most in need.
