Tortona, March 6th, 2026 – Responding to the invitation of H.E Monsignor Guido Marini, Bishop of Tortona and Knight of Grand Cross, the Delegate of Lombardy Conte Giuseppe Rizzani participated in the Solemn Pontifical of Saint Marziano at the Cathedral of Tortona, representing the Order.
On this occasion, to honor the Patron Saint of the Diocese, the Delegation of Lombardy contributed €3,000 toward the publication of an important historical study on the Saints of Tortona.

Although the Diocese of Tortona has its episcopal seat in Piedmont, it belongs to the Ligurian ecclesiastical region, while its largest and most populous part lies in Lombardy, in the province of Pavia, which it covers for more than a third. Present at the celebration was the Representative for Pavia, Lodi, and Cremona, Don Maurizio Ceriani, who also serves in the Diocese as Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life. This year, the solemnity of Saint Marziano coincided with the official opening of Monsignor Marini’s first pastoral visit.
