On Friday, December 2nd, an investiture ceremony for distinguished Knights and Dames took place in Vienna, at the splendid Basilica “Zu den Neun Chören der Engel, Am Hof.”
The solemn celebration was presided over by His Excellency the Most Reverend Monsignor Alois Schwarz, Bishop of St. Pölten, assisted by Father Richard Hansl and Deacon Lukas Albert. The Bishop blessed the Constantinian Insignia on behalf of the Grand Prior, while the Vicar Delegate, Alexander Rudolf Babinek, Esq., PhD, alongside H.S.H. Prince Viktor Thurn und Taxis and Commander Wolfgang Breitenthaler-Breitenthal, proceeded to present the diplomas to the new Knights and Dames.
Numerous Knights and Dames received their investiture, including H.I.R.H. Archduchess Maria Camilla of Austria-Tuscany (Habsburg-Lorraine), alongside promotions and the conferral of the Royal Order of Francis I.
Ecclesiastical, Civil, and Military Authorities attended the ceremony; heartfelt gratitude was expressed to the honorary representation of the K.Ö.St.V. Kürnberg Wien and the Catholic Students’ Association.
At the end of the ceremony, a convivial reception and a gala dinner were held at the Wiener Renn-Verein Club.
