Sicily: Delegation activities of December 2025-February 2026

Carini, February 2nd, 2026 – The community of Carini celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, known as Candlemas, at the Mother Church. The Holy Mass was presided over by the Archpriest Don Giacomo Sgroi, Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace, in the presence of a delegation composed of the Noble Knight Commander of Grace Pietro Francesco Mistretta, Knight Commander of Merit Antonio Fundarò, and the Knights Salvatore Biondo and Giulio Pillitteri. At the conclusion of the homily, Don Giacomo greeted and thanked the Knights present, also expressing gratitude to the Vice Delegate of Sicily, the Noble Knight Grand Cross of Grace Antonio Di Janni, for his commitment to the community of Carini.

Monreale, January 22nd 2026 – The donation of essential items for early childhood took place at the Church of St. Antonio Abate, organized by the Sicilian delegation and delivered by the volunteers Lia Giangreco, Sonia Lo Monaco, and Antonella Zito. Mothers in need received pasta, baby food, and diapers, as well as small pandoro cakes for their older children

San Martino delle Scale, January 12th, 2026 – As every month, a donation was made to the Benedictine Caritas of San Martino delle Scale. The Vice Delegate of Sicily, Antonio Di Janni, delivered to the person in charge, Don Bernardo, several supplies for children from disadvantaged families, as part of the “Briciole di Salute” project of the Monreale district.

Acireale, December 21st, 2025 – Following the ceremony for the reopening of the Chapel of S.S. Sacramento, held in the presence of the civil and military authorities of Acireale, several Knights took part in the Eucharistic celebration presided over by H.E. Most Rev. Msgr. Antonino Raspanti, Ecclesiastical Knight Grand Cross of Grace. During the homily, the prelate referred to the “gift-mission” that God entrusted to St. Joseph as the foster father of Jesus. The Knights made this “mission” their own by committing themselves to the “Briciole di Salute” project. Among those present were the Knights Massimo Putrino, Giuseppe Longo, Diego Bellia, Giuseppe Di Gregorio, Luca Longo, Giovanni Patti, Cosimo Costa, Antonino Amato and Marcello Cantone.
