
On December 30, the Vice-Delegate delivered baby food and boxes of baby pasta. The donation went to Anna Maria Proietto, a Caritas volunteer. This took place at the St. Paul parish in the Borgo Nuovo working-class district of Palermo. The initiative is part of the ‘Briciole di Salute” Project.

On Sunday, December 29, the Holy Year opened for local churches in the Diocese of Noto. The solemn celebration of the “Jubilee of Hope” began at the Basilica of the Most Holy Savior. Priests from the eight vicariates, members of various knightly orders, and local civil and military authorities gathered around their pastor. His Most Reverend Eminence Monsignor Salvatore Rumeo then led a procession toward the Cathedral Basilica.
At the end of the celebration, a delegation representative greeted the Bishop. This group was led by Commander Marcello Cantone, the Order’s representative for Noto. It also included Commendatore Antonio Amato, Knight Officer Cosimo Costa, and Knight Massimo Putrino.

For the 2024 Christmas lunch, Mrs. Tiziana Parisi dedicated a generous thought to lonely people. About 70 people attended the holiday meal. The event took place at the Boccone del Povero facilities in Monreale. The Sicily Delegation contributed by supplying various food items requested by Mrs. Parisi. She thanked the Constantinian Order of St. George for the generous charity provided.

On Sunday, December 22, the Sicily Delegation celebrated Holy Christmas at the Basilica della Magione in Palermo. Monsignor Salvatore Grimaldi presided over the Holy Mass. Several Knights and Dames of the Order attended the service. At the end of the ceremony, the Vice-Delegate introduced a new member of the Constantinian youth: Ilaria Palermo, daughter of Cavaliere Rosario Palermo.

On Sunday, January 5, 2025, the Vice-Delegate donated sweets and mini pandoro cakes for the Epiphany. The donation took place at the Church of Santa Teresa in the Kalsa district of Palermo. The items were given to the parish priest, Father Giuseppe Di Giovanni. The priest distributed the gifts to the parish children on January 6 for the Epiphany holiday.

On Monday, January 6, Monsignor Salvatore Grimaldi celebrated a Holy Mass for the Solemnity of the Epiphany at the Constantinian Basilica della Magione. Numerous Knights and Dames attended the service. Right after the religious celebration, the Knights and Dames gathered in the hall next to the Basilica. There, they gifted the parish children Christmas stockings filled with sweets and numerous toys. This year, Dr. Maria Barbara Sapienza masterfully played the role of the Befana. She was assisted by Sofia Sauerborn and Ilaria Palermo from the Constantinian youth. Monsignor Grimaldi thanked the delegation for the children’s gifts and for the joyful, festive atmosphere.

On Monday, December 23, the Reverend Father Gaetano Pulvirenti celebrated a Mass in preparation for Holy Christmas at the Church of Santa Lucia in Aci Catena. Commander Marcello Cantone, Knight Officer Cosimo Costa, and Cavaliere Luca Longo took part in the Sacred Rite.


Donations for the “Briciole di Salute” project continued through January. Specifically, distribution events took place on January 15 in Monreale and on January 23 in Carini.

On Sunday, January 19, a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration in honor of St. Anthony the Abbot took place at the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate in Palermo. The Sicily Delegation of the Order and the Municipal Police Choir attended the service.
