On Friday 7 February, a Holy Mass was celebrated in the Basilica of San Lorenzo alle Colonne in Milan in devotion to Blessed Maria Cristina of Savoy, Queen of the Two Sicilies. The ceremony, presided over by Monsignor Gianni Zappa and concelebrated by Monsignor Luigi Mistò and Monsignor Arnaldo Morandi, was attended by Constantinian Dames and Knights, the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, the International Queen Elena Association, and the Kaisera Karl Gebetsliga. The Mass was celebrated in suffrage for H.I.R.H. Margherita of Savoy-Aosta and H.R.H. Maria Cristina of Savoy-Aosta. Guests included H.I.R.H. Archduke Martino of Austria-Este, H.R.H. Prince Serge of Yugoslavia, Maria Jose Pando Reina of Savoy, and Count Giuseppe Rizzani. At the end of the service, Monsignor Luigi Mistò read a message from H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto. The proceeds of the evening were donated to the charitable activities of the Sanctuary of the Consolata in Turin, to which Archduchess Margherita was particularly devoted.
