Piacenza, April 23, 2026 – On the occasion of the feast of Saint George, a solemn celebration for the Order, the Knights and Dames of the Emilia-Romagna Delegation gathered at the center “Il Samaritano” on Via Giordani to assemble and donate more than one hundred bags bearing the Order’s logo, containing various food supplies intended for families in need. The bags will be distributed, with the assistance of the Diocesan Caritas of Piacenza-Bobbio, as part of Caritas’s daily activities supporting numerous families. Monsignor Gianni Ambrosio, Bishop Emeritus of Piacenza-Bobbio and Prior of the Order, praised and thanked Caritas.

The Vice Delegate, Knight Pietro Coppelli, thanked the Dames and Knights, present in large numbers, for their commitment in carrying out the donation, and expressed his hope to continue contributing increasingly to charitable social activities.
The director of the Diocesan Caritas of Piacenza-Bobbio, Deacon Mario Idda, accompanied by Dr. Franco Zuccone, Caritas council member, thanked the Knights and Dames of Piacenza for their concrete gesture of solidarity.
At the conclusion of the event, a Holy Mass was celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate of Lourdes, presided over by Prior Monsignor Gianni Ambrosio, assisted by the Vice Prior Don Stefano Antonelli and Deacon Mario Idda.
