Donation of underwear to the residents of Casa San Francesco in Cosenza
On 30 September 2026, the Calabria Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George demonstrated its Christian faith through a concrete act of charity by donating underwear to the residents of Casa San Francesco in Cosenza.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by all those present and, in particular, by the Knights of the Delegation, reaffirming the importance of translating Christian values into tangible acts of solidarity and support for those most in need.

A delegation representing the Calabria Delegation visited the “Il Dono” Centre, located in the municipality of Jonadi, in the province of Vibo Valentia, for an occasion dedicated to solidarity, listening and sharing..
The centre is an important point of reference for the local community, working daily to support people with disabilities and families facing difficult circumstances. It is a place of listening and practical assistance, but above all, a space for inclusion and social interaction, where everyone can feel welcomed, valued and never alone.
During the visit, the Constantinian Knights held a constructive and fruitful discussion with the organisation’s representatives and the staff members who carry out their valuable work every day with professionalism and dedication. The meeting provided an opportunity to learn more about the centre’s many activities and the people who bring them to life.
The most meaningful moment of the day, however, was meeting the young people who attend the centre. The Delegation presented them with a selection of books and works of fiction and fantasy, chosen to encourage reading, stimulate their imagination and enrich the time they spend together at the facility.
The Knights were welcomed with smiles, enthusiasm and many hugs. These simple gestures conveyed deep emotion and made the visit a truly special experience.
Sincere thanks go to the friends of “Il Dono”, the centre’s representatives and its staff for their warm welcome and for the valuable work they carry out every day in support of people with disabilities and their families.
Our greatest thanks, however, go to the people at the centre, whose spontaneity and infectious joy made us feel so welcome and gave us the opportunity to share a moment of genuine human connection.
The gifts we brought were a simple gesture; the smiles and hugs we received, on the other hand, were the greatest gift of all.

On the day the Church celebrates Saint Francis of Assisi, a man of peace, fraternity, humility and love for the most vulnerable, the Calabria Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George sought to bear witness to the value of Christian charity through a donation of food supplies for the elderly residents of a nursing home managed by the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Catechism.
Saint Francis teaches us that true wealth lies not in what we possess, but in what we share with love, drawing close to those who experience vulnerability and hardship. For every Knight of the Sacred Constantinian Order, charity is not merely a feeling or an occasional gesture: it is a duty and a responsibility rooted in Christian faith and expressed through service to others, especially the most vulnerable and those in greatest need.
Being a Constantinian Knight therefore means placing oneself and one’s resources at the service of the common good, making faith, charity and solidarity a daily witness.
