Government of the Constantinian Order

Government of the Constantinian Order, the Catholic chivalric order of ancient origins, today placed under the Grand Mastership of the Royal House of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, which promotes faith, charity and social commitment inspired by Christian values.

Government of the Order

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George is governed by the Grand Master, assisted by the Royal Deputation, composed of the great offices: Grand Prefect, Grand Prior, Grand Chancellor and Grand Treasurer; by the President, Vice President, Secretary and the Deputies.

The current Grand Master, His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Head of the Royal House, is also assisted by a Magistral Juridical Council and a Magistral Heraldic Commission.

The Grand Master is the perpetual administrator of the Order, may issue new laws and statutes, as well as proceed with the appointment of the highest institutional offices, to which he entrusts the moral, disciplinary and administrative direction of the Order.

H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon is assisted in His decisions by the “Counselor of the Royal House and for the Dynastic Orders”, personally appointed and of His absolute trust. He may appoint a Secretary General to whom he confers powers of direction and coordination of the activity of the Chancellery and the Delegations.

The Statute of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George defines the founding principles, the spiritual and charitable purposes, as well as the organization and functioning of the Order. It constitutes the essential normative reference governing its institutional life, in full respect of its historical tradition and the Christian values that inspire its mission.
