Acireale, April 23, 2026 – In the Basilica of San Sebastiano in Acireale, the Knights of the Province of Catania honored Saint George with a well-attended Eucharistic celebration. The sacred rite was officiated by the Reverend Dean Don Alessandro Di Stefano, Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace, who in his homily emphasized how the Great Martyr represents a model and a source of inspiration for the lives of the members of the Order.

Among those present at the celebration were Knights Giuseppe Longo and Luca Longo, Commander Cosimo Costa, and the Representative for Nicosia and Noto, Commander Marcello Cantone. In the Diocese of Acireale, whose Bishop is H.E. Most Reverend Monsignor Antonino Raspanti, President of the Sicilian Episcopal Conference and Ecclesiastical Knight Grand Cross of Grace, the Delegation of Sicily actively supports the sisters of the “Tent of Our Lady of Christ,” through constant donations for the women and children assisted by Sister Alfonsina.
