Sicily: Delegation Activities Easter 2026 – Part One

Montelepre (PA), April 3, 2026 – In the heart of Holy Week, the community of Montelepre gathered in the Mother Church to celebrate Good Friday. During the homily, Monsignor Dario Russo, archpriest of the Mother Church, offered a profound reflection rooted in Scripture. Among the Knights present were Noble Antonio Di Janni, Knight of Grand Cross and Vice Delegate of Sicily; Commander Professor Antonio Fundarò; and Knight Salvatore Biondo, President of the Reputation of the Urn of the Dead Christ—figures representing the commitment of a chivalric tradition linked to the Christian faith.

Palermo, April 2, 2026 – The Missa in Coena Domini took place at the Basilica della Magione. The solemn liturgy was presided over by the Very Reverend Don Massimiliano Purpura, Parish Priest of the Magione and Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace.
After the Post Communio, the ciborium was left on the altar and then carried in procession to be placed at the Altar of Reposition in the Chapel of Divine Mercy. In addition to the Vice Delegate, Noble Knight of Grand Cross Antonio di Janni, and the Chancellor, Commander Claudio Ragusa, those present included Commander Pietro Macaluso, Noble Knight Livio Corselli, Knight Giovanni Messina, and Dame Carmela Corselli Munda. Also present was Inspector Giuseppe Oddo.

Monreale, March 29, 2026 – In the solemn setting of the Cathedral, the Pontifical Mass for Palm Sunday was celebrated, presided over by H.E. Monsignor Gualtiero Isacchi, Ecclesiastical Knight Grand Cross of Grace. Knights of the Order were present, led by the Vice Delegate of Sicily, Noble Antonio di Janni: Commanders Claudio Ragusa, Noble Pierfrancesco Mistretta, Antonio Fundarò, Gasperino Como, Vincenzo Nuccio; Knight Giovanni Messina Spina; and Dames Maria Lo Castro and Patrizia Biagi, among others.
