Acireale, February 18th, 2026 – The Ash Wednesday liturgy at the Basilica of San Sebastiano invited those present to begin the Lenten journey with the weapons of fasting, prayer, and charity, leading up to Easter. The rite was officiated by the Reverend Dean Don Alessandro Di Stefano, Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace. Also in attendance were Knights Giovanni Patti, Luca Longo, Giovanni Impastato, Cosimo Costa, Vito Quattrocchi, and Marcello Cantone. The church of San Sebastiano is in the Diocese of Acireale, whose Bishop is H.E. the Most Reverend Msgr. Antonino Raspanti, President of the Sicilian Episcopal Conference and Ecclesiastical Knight Grand-Cross of Grace.

Palermo, February 18th, 2026 – The Ash Wednesday Mass at the Church of Santa Teresa at the Kalsa was celebrated by the parish priest, Father Giuseppe Di Giovanni, Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace. Monsignor Salvatore Grimaldi, Ecclesiastical Knight Commander of Grace, concelebrated the liturgy. A delegation led by Commander Gasperino Como and Dame Lina Munda were present. At the end, Don Giuseppe thanked the Sicilian Delegation for their continued support of needy families in the Kalsa neighborhood.

San Martino delle Scale, February 2nd, 2026 – The Candlemas ceremony took place in the church of the Benedictine Abbey. Presiding over the Solemn Liturgy was the Most Reverend Father Abbot Vittorio Rizzone, Ecclesiastical Knight Grand Officer of Grace. A delegation was present, led by the Noble Vice Delegate Antonio di Janni, Knight Grand Cross of Grace, Dame Eugenia D’Alessandro, and Knight of Merit Filippo Gagliano. At the conclusion of the religious service, the Abbot thanked the Sicilian Delegation for their ongoing support of needy children assisted by the Benedictine Caritas, headed by Dom Bernardo, through the “Briciole di Salute” project.
