The Delegation of Rome and Lazio has always been very close to the disadvantaged, as witnessed by the humanitarian project “The Hunger of Our Neighbour,” strongly supported by the Grand Master, which provides for the distribution of food and basic necessities.

Another important initiative was the pharmaceutical medicines collection campaign promoted by the “Banco Farmaceutico,” which took place from February 10th to the 16th. The Knights were invited to visit the participating pharmacies to purchase medications for the “Banco Farmaceutico,” to be donated to those in financial difficulty “so that no one has to choose between eating and seeking medical care.” In the Gulf of Gaeta area, the Ciufo Pharmacy, run by Dames Virginia Ciufo and Rosalba Pietroluongo Ciufo, among others, participated in the initiative. Over 200 medications and baby products were collected and delivered to the Caritas center run by the Mercedarian Fathers of the parish of Saints Cosma and Damiano. Several Knights and aspirants attended the participating pharmacies, explaining the purpose of the initiative and encouraging donations.
