Naples, July 6th and 7th 2025 – H.R.H. Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two-Sicilies, Duchess of Castro, together with her daughters, Their Royal Highnesses Princesses Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara of Bourbon Two Sicilies, visited Naples for a weekend dedicated to charity and art history.
On the morning of Sunday, July 6th, at Pio Monte della Misericordia, a charitable institution founded in 1601 by seven young nobles, Princesses Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara donated five thousand euros on behalf of the Constantinian Order of Saint George and the Delegation of Naples and Campania led by Marchioness Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo. The donation supports La Scintilla association, which assists 30 families of children with disabilities and participates in the Pio Monte solidarity network. The Princesses were received by Pio Monte’s Superintendent Fabrizia Paternò and by Governor Alberto Sifola, who showed the guests Caravaggio’s famous painting “Seven Works of Mercy,” the art gallery, and the museum, and expressed their appreciation for the work carried out by the Scintilla association’s volunteers.

On Sunday afternoon, the Princesses visited the monumental complex of Santa Maria La Nova, which houses, among other things—as a recent attribution seems to confirm—the tomb of Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia (now Romania). They were received by Giuseppe Reale, who explained the history of the church, the former Franciscan convent, and the cloister.

On the morning of Monday, July 7th, H.R.H. Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies visited the children assisted by the Asso.gio.ca Association, chaired by Gian Franco Wurzburger. The Princess donated three thousand euros to the association on behalf of the Constantinian Order of Saint George, led by her husband H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Head of the Royal House. “I am thrilled,” stated the Duchess of Castro, “to be able to support projects of this caliber, which provide so many less fortunate children with educational opportunities, recreation, and games.”
