On Sunday, January 28, during the celebrations for the closing of the 350th anniversary of the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Loreto in Lanzo Intelvi, Delegate Count Giuseppe Rizzani and Como representative Costantino Canevali presented the gold medal of merit to the Committee directed by confrere Gabriele Lombardo.
San Gervasio Bresciano, February 1, 2024. The Lombardy Delegation and the Tanghetti and Chiari Foundation delivered a large quantity of modeling clay for the crafts of young students to the local Barbara Ferrazzi Kindergarten Foundation. The event took place in the presence of the Prior of the Delegation and Parish Priest of the SS Gervasio and Protasio MM parish in San Gervasio Bresciano, and Knight Maurizio Mirandola, with the collaboration of volunteers from the Tanghetti and Chiari Foundation. The entire school welcomed them, including 120 children from the nursery to preschool age, the teachers with coordinator Debora Lazzari, and Secretary Ms. Domenica Mantelli, alongside the staff and especially the young children, who showed great joy and enthusiasm.
Brescia, January 2024 – The supply of essential goods to the Ukrainian population continues. Officer Dame Katia Chiari, President of the Tanghetti & Chiari Onlus Foundation, with the assistance of the Brescia representation, sourced a large quantity of food items, clothing, linens, miscellaneous furniture, and household appliances. These goods were then transported to refugee reception areas both on the border and within Ukrainian territory through humanitarian corridors.
Lombardy, Brescia, February 15, 2024 – A delegation of Knights and Dames, including Knight Father Vincenzo Arici, Knight of Justice Paolo Landriani, Dame Katia Chiari, Dame Laura Salvatore Nocivelli, and Knight Benedetto Magro, attended the solemn pontifical mass celebrated by the Bishop of Brescia, His Excellency Monsignor Pierantonio Tremolada. All city authorities and many faithful were present.
On February 2, Monsignor Gianni Zappa and Monsignor Luigi Mistò celebrated a Memorial Mass for Her Imperial and Royal Highness Archduchess Margherita of Austria-Este on the second anniversary of her passing, as well as for her sister, Her Royal Highness Princess Maria Cristina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, who recently passed away.
Lombardy-Brescia, Parish of San Gervasio Bresciano – During the Holy Mass on the first Sunday of Lent, Father Charbel El Khoury, a Lebanese monk of the Maronite Order, presided over the liturgy at the SS Gervasio and Protasio MM parish, the seat of the Prior of Lombardy. Father Charbel serves as the coordinator for Italy for the collection of medicines destined for the current difficult socio-economic situation in Lebanon. The initiative, proposed by Father Pierantonio Bodini to Prior Father Arnaldo Morandi, immediately received the availability and approval of the Delegate of Lombardy. This morning, the medicines collected by the parishioners over the past weeks were brought to the altar, as a significant amount of material had already been delivered in recent months. In addition to the collected pharmacological material, a substantial donation of special medications was contributed by Postulant Dr. Marino Appodia.
