Napoli, January 18, 2025 – On the centenary of the death of Maria Sofia of Bourbon, the last Queen of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, the preview presentation of the book “Le Borboniche” took place. The book is written by the well-known journalist and essayist Gigi Di Fiore. The event was held in the prestigious halls of the Circolo Nazionale dell’Unione in Naples, in front of a large and interested audience.

The event was introduced by the Marquise Donna Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo for the Constantinian Order. The panel of speakers was moderated by H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, representing the Royal House.


The panel of speakers was highly prestigious, including Alessandro Barbano, president of the Fondazione Campania dei Festival, and Francesco De Core, editor-in-chief of Repubblica, who spoke alongside the author. Many families belonging to the Order were present in the audience, such as the Marquises Buccino Grimaldi, the Counts Leonetti, the Barons Sanseverino, the Rocco di Torrepadula, the Sifola, the Borromeo, the Calenda, the Abiosi, the de Montemayor, and numerous members of the consular corps. A seated luncheon followed in honor of H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies.
