Naples and Campania: Holy Mass for Peace in Naples

On the evening of Saturday, December 13, the Holy Mass for Peace took place in the majestic Basilica of San Francesco di Paola. The event was organized by the Delegation of Naples and Campania in collaboration with the Association of the Consular Diplomatic Corps of Naples.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration was officiated by His Eminence Most Reverend Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, together with Vice Prior Father Mario Savarese O.M., in the presence of numerous confreres, representatives of the Consular Diplomatic Corps, civil and military authorities, and members of the faithful.

During his homily, Cardinal Sepe strongly emphasized the universal value of peace, highlighting the importance of prayer, dialogue, and solidarity as essential tools for building a more just and fraternal world, especially in a time marked by profound international tensions.

At the end of the religious service, gifts were distributed to children—a particularly meaningful and heartfelt moment that once again demonstrated the Order’s charitable commitment and its attention to children and families in need.

The evening continued with a convivial gathering, during which participants exchanged Christmas greetings in view of the upcoming holidays, in a spirit of sincere cordiality and fraternity.

As noted by the Delegate for Naples and Campania, Marchioness Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo di Sant’Elia, the celebration represented an important opportunity for spiritual reflection and a concrete testimony of the Christian values that inspire the actions of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, renewing the Order’s commitment to peace, solidarity, and the common good.
