On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Royal Colony, the Orizzonti Foundation, in synergy with national and local institutions, promoted a solemn celebration dedicated to what was once one of the most advanced experiments in welfare and social innovation in Europe. <\/p>\n\n

In the afternoon of the same day, H.R.H. Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies, accompanied by her consort and H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, visited the historic silk mills of San Leucio, a symbolic place of manufacturing tradition and Italian artisanal excellence.<\/p>\n\n

The visit aimed to highlight the fundamental role of women in the history of the Royal Colony.\u201cSan Leucio represents an extraordinary chapter of our history, in which women played a central role not only in production, but in building a community founded on fairness and respect,\u201d declared the Princess. \u201cVisiting the silk mills today means paying tribute to this heritage and reaffirming how relevant it still is to invest in talent and in the promotion of women\u2019s work.\u201d <\/p>\n\n
