Agnone (IS), May 2026 – The Delegation for Molise, through the interest of the Noble Vicar Giulio de Jorio Frisari, patronized the 8th “Festival of Law”, joining the Region, the Carabinieri, and CSV Molise in a series of meetings with youth, institutions, and local businesses. The event, coordinated by the lawyer Fantini and the “Armonia” association, involved schools and law enforcement agencies throughout the region. During the days, a bronze plaque was presented in memory of little Giuseppe Di Matteo, a symbol of civil commitment against organized crime. Many students from Termoli, Isernia, and Agnone, together with trainees from the Carabinieri and Police schools, took part in the moments of reflection, including the commemoration of General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa. The festival concluded with the Holy Mass in the church of Maria SS. di Costantinopoli in Agnone.

Campobasso, May 31, 2026 – At the closing of the Marian month, a representation of Knights and Dames of the Delegation for Molise, led by Knight Commander Giuseppe D’Amico, participated in the solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by H.E. Mons. Colaianni in honor of Maria SS. Incoronata del Monte. The Mass was followed by the traditional procession through the city streets, preceded by the historic preparation of flower carpets for the infiorata by the population. This renews a ritual that, since 1800, perpetuates from generation to generation the deep bond of devotion between the citizenship and the “Madonnina” of the capital city.

Chiesanuova (FI), May 8, 2026 – The celebratory ceremony of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary, Queen of Victories of Pompei, took place in the church of San Donato in Chiesanuova (FI). The event was organized by the Tuscan Delegation of the Constantinian Order, with an invitation extended to the Delegate for Molise and his knights. The religious service was celebrated by H.E.R. Cardinal Ernest Simoni, the renowned exorcist prelate and “living martyr” of the Albanian communist regime. The Cardinal was assisted by the Vicar Prior, the Reverend Canon Donato Mollica, and the Prior Don Cristian Comini, the local parish priest, in a spiritual atmosphere enriched by the symbols and rituals of Catholic tradition.

At the end of the solemn Holy Mass, the supplication for the Indulgence took place, invoking the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel through the protective prayer of Pope Leo XIII. Subsequently, Cardinal Simoni led the exorcism prayer and the blessing of salt and water for spiritual and divine protection against evil influences and for the purification of all those gathered.

In front of a parish packed with faithful and knights, the Delegate of Tuscany, Count Guido Francesco Poccianti, Noble of Livorno, read the prayer of the Constantinian Knights. This was followed by greetings and thanks from the Grand Chancellor of the Constantinian Order, H.E. Don Francesco Ruspoli, Prince of Cerveteri. Finally, the Delegate for Molise, Don Ettore d’Alessandro, Duke of Pescolanciano, present with a small representation of knights, honored the Constantinian authorities with some copies of the publication on Molise identity history written by collaborator Giuseppe Magnetta. The day concluded with a reception to celebrate Cardinal Simoni’s 70 years of priesthood.

Portici (NA), 11 April 2026 – In the splendid setting of the Reggia of Portici, Delegate Marchesa Federica De Gregorio Cattaneo, together with several Knights of the Campania Delegation and in the presence of members of the Association “1st Regiment Re” led by Angela Cucillato, awaited the arrival of the carriages carrying the Delegate of Molise, Duke Ettore d’Alessandro di Pescolanciano, his son Knight of Justice Alessandro d’Alessandro, and H.R.H. Claude d’Orléans. The meeting formed part of the event “The Journey of the Marquis of the Carriages,” held in memory of Mario d’Alessandro, Knight of Justice of the Constantinian Order as well as of the Order of Saint Januarius.

D’Alessandro, a collector of carriages, accomplished an extraordinary feat in 1955: together with some friends, he departed from his residence in Portici on a four-in-hand stagecoach, covering more than 150 km of unpaved roads, passing through his castle in Pescolanciano and reaching Campobasso in just three days.

On the 71st anniversary of the event, a similar journey was organized by Giuseppe Angiulli, under the patronage of the d’Alessandro family di Pescolanciano, for about ten participants. Departing from Castellammare, the stagecoaches headed to Ercolano, Portici, Naples, and Santa Maria Capua Vetere, continuing into Molise as far as Agnone. Each stop became a moment to meet friends, Knights, and enthusiasts, visiting places of the former Kingdom of Naples while discussing equestrian traditions and local excellences. The event was filmed by the crew of journalist Nicola Mastronardi, who will produce a television documentary.

Delegates and participants were welcomed at Villa Campolieto in Ercolano for a reception hosted by Maria Cristina Bianchi in memory of her father, Prof. Leonardo Bianchi, himself a connoisseur and collector of carriages, with greetings from Dott. Gennaro Miranda, President of the Fondazione Ville Vesuviane.

The program began on Saturday, February 14th, with the official welcome from the Mayor of Gaeta, Dott. Cristian Leccese, to the Delegates of the Delegations of the former Kingdom and to the public at the Diocesan Museum. There, the participants had the opportunity to admire the Banner of the Battle of Lepanto and the historical artifacts of the Duchy of Gaeta, guided by the Museum’s Director, Don Gennaro Petruccelli.

Afterwards, the Rector of the Sanctuary, Father Daniele Belussi, accompanied the participants to the summit of the cliff of the Montagna Spaccata, at the site where the Transylvania Battery once stood and exploded on February 13th, 1861. The commemorative ceremony included institutional addresses, the casting of a wreath into the sea in honor of the Fallen, the raising of the flag with historical reenactors in period uniforms, and salutes fired with blank ammunition, performed by the “1st King’s Regiment.”

The celebrations were attended by numerous civil, military, and religious authorities, as well as representatives of the Order from various Italian regions, together with members of the local institutions and the associative community. Among the official addresses were those delivered by the Mayor of Gaeta and Egidio D’Addio, President of the Lazio Section of the National Association of Former Nunziatella Students.

The initiative reinforced the historical, cultural, and identity-related significance of the memory of the Siege of Gaeta, a symbol of the end of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. The substantial participation of the local community highlighted the deep connection of the territory with its history and its commitment to the preservation of collective memory.

December 2025 – As part of their annual Christmas initiative, the Constantinian order members delivered food supplies to several parishes in Molise. With the support of the Molise Knights and volunteers, coordinated by Secretary D’Amico and Delegate Duca d’Alessandro, significant amounts of pasta, preserves, milk, biscuits, and panettone were collected and distributed to religious institutions assisting those in need. The initiative received praise from the ecclesiastical authorities, confirming the longstanding commitment of the Delegation to the local Church.

Among the many charitable activities, those carried out near Christmas evoke especially deep emotions. In this spirit, once again this year, Comm. Giuseppe D’Amico, Secretary of the Delegation, involved Knights, Dames, Postulants, and Volunteers to deliver, under the guidance of Archbishop Mons. Biagio Colaianni, donations to the “Casa degli Angeli” at the Diocesan Caritas of Campobasso, to various parishes in Molise, and to the Confraternity of Mercy of Termoli. The contributions included food supplies, shoes, clothing, and panettone for homeless brothers and sisters.
Special thanks are extended to Pastificio Colavita of Campobasso for the generous donation of pasta, and to the food company Colavita of Sant’Elia a Pianisi for the donation of vinegar and oil, whose commitment reflects a deep care for aiding our needy brothers and sisters. Likewise, our Knights, Dames, Postulants, and Volunteers, through their loving contributions, enabled the purchase of approximately 200 panettone, as well as shoes and jackets. At the “Casa degli Angeli”, the donations were received by Don Giuseppe Graziano, Vice Prior of the Delegation, and Don Davide Picciano, Vice President of Caritas and also our Ecclesiastical Knight. On behalf of Mons. Colaianni, they warmly thanked all involved for this charitable initiative, extending greetings from Delegate Duca Ettore D’Alessandro and H.R.H. Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master.

At the Church of St. Joseph the Worker in Isernia, a commemorative and cultural event on “The Events of Isernia in 1860” was held, with the participation of various associations linked to the Two Sicilies (Fondazione Il Giglio, the Neapolitan Academy of Historical Studies, the 1st Re Regiment), coordinated by the Molise Delegation of the Constantinian Order of St. George. A small exhibition of Bourbon-era relics from the collection of Alessandro of Pescolanciano was also set up.
The event began with a parade of the soldiers of the aforementioned Re Regiment and the Constantinian knights, carrying their respective standards toward the church altar to pay tribute to the fallen citizens of Isernia from this revolt, followed by a prayer and blessing by the local parish priest. The parade concluded with the “fusiliers” firing a blank volley.
Subsequently, the conference opened with presentations by Marina Carrese (Fondazione Il Giglio) and Giancarlo Rinaldi (Neapolitan Academy of Historical Studies), emphasizing the need for the territories of the former Kingdom of the Two Sicilies to preserve the historical memory of their identity values, for which many people sacrificed their lives, as well as to spread certain truths about events concealed by official Risorgimento historiography.
The Delegate, Duke Don Ettore d’Alessandro of Pescolanciano, thanked all participants for their significant contribution in making the day an unforgettable moment for national history. He also presented certain family documents concerning his ancestor Duke Giovanni Maria, a Gentleman of the Chamber in service, who was among the protagonists of the aforementioned revolt.
Professor Carmela Spadaro (University Federico II of Naples) provided a detailed account of the violent actions by Garibaldian forces against the local population, who remained loyal to their King and his symbols. It was highlighted that these repressive actions were consistently downplayed by the liberal press propaganda of the time and later during the Kingdom of Italy.
Similar silence surrounded certain legitimist battalions that fought heroically in the Isernia area, achieving a decisive victory over Garibaldi’s occupying troops. Don Giuliano Lilli, on the other hand, pointed out how the provisional Garibaldian government showed little tolerance and acted harshly against local religious figures considered reactionary, as in the case of Bishop Saladino, who was brutally beaten along with other prelates.
Furthermore, summary trials were conducted against these insurgents, lacking legitimacy from a judiciary of a not yet fully established state. Historian Franco Valente finally presented portraits and artworks commissioned by the Bishop of Isernia.
Thus, the square of Isernia, like Gaeta, Capua, and Civitella del Tronto, is set to become a future meeting point for further study and reflection on this “counter-history.” The Molise Delegate of the Constantinian Order, Duke d’Alessandro, with the support of secretary Lieutenant Giuseppe D’Amico, presented certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts to all participants.

Several confreres were present, including Dame of Justice Brunella Murolo, Knight of Grace Vice Delegate Giulio de Jorio Frisari, Knight of Grace Alessandro d’Alessandro, and Knights Marco Laureti, Marino Tuso, Luigi Zappone, Michele Tartaglia, and other Campanian knights. Among the audience were scholars such as Giovanni Pedio, Lino Padula, and Giuseppe Magnetta.

The interesting conference “Aquae et Montes” took place in the splendid setting of the medieval Molise village of Castel San Vincenzo (IS). The event focused on the presence of various Benedictine monastic sites in the Molise and neighboring territories (from S. Vincenzo al Volturno to S. Pietro del Tasso, up to Montecassino, Naples, and Ancona). It featured the participation of various academics and scholars (Professor Federico Marazzi from the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, Professor Fabio V. Regina from Ancona, and the historian Alessandro Marzullo) in the presence of the Mayor and local authorities. The initiative was warmly welcomed by the Abbot of Montecassino, who sent a letter of thanks and congratulations, as well as by the regional Presidency. The Delegation for Molise also acted as a patron of this special cultural event. Among the speakers were the Delegate, Duke Ettore d’Alessandro di Pescolanciano, and the Vice Delegate, Count Giulio de Jorio Frisari D’Alena, who worked hard among the organizers of the conference. The latter shared historical information regarding family figures and places linked to this centuries-old Benedictine presence. The large audience also included the Dame of Justice, D. Brunella Murolo, wife of the Delegate, and various Constantinian knights (from Termoli, Colle d’Anchise, etc.) supporting the conference. The precious bond between our chivalric Order, with its Grand Master H.R.H. Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Head of the Royal House, and religious orders, including the monastic congregation of Saint Benedict, was fondly remembered.

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Cantalupo (Cb), at the Church of San Salvatore, the Delegation for Molise co-organized an afternoon of studies dedicated to Neapolitan palaces and their respective nobility with fiefs in Molise, as well as the figure of Angelo di Costanzo, Prince of Cantalupo. The Vice Delegate, Count Giulio de Jorio Frisari d’Alena, conveyed greetings from His Royal Highness Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Master and Head of the Royal House, expressing his close support for these historical studies and research.
Furthermore, the Vice Delegate noted that the Delegate for Molise, Duke Ettore d’Alessandro di Pescolanciano, wished to attend but was prevented by sudden professional commitments. The Duke has always prioritized enhancing and contributing to initiatives aimed at raising universal, non-ideological awareness of the cultural history of ancient Molise villages.
Count de Jorio Frisari highlighted how gaps in Italian historiography and academic history have impoverished collective consciousness, depriving it of documented references and leaving it vulnerable to historical errors and falsehoods. Architect and scholar Sergio Attanasio then emphasized the significant quantity and quality of noble palaces in Naples named after Molise municipalities and fiefs. Located in the heart of Naples, buildings like Palazzo Capracotta, Cantalupo, Pescolanciano, Fondaco Venafro, Palazzo Bagnoli San Felice, and Palazzo Casacalenda reveal the deep historical ties between the County of Molise and the Capital.
Next, architect and historian Franco Valente illustrated the figure of poet and historiographer Angelo di Costanzo, who lived in Cantalupo for a decade during the mid-15th century, writing some of his major works. He was an eminent innovator of poetic art and a key figure in Neapolitan Humanism, closely linked to Gian Battista della Porta, Bernardo Tasso, Torquato Tasso, Giordano Bruno, and Giambattista Marino. Despite forming a cultural phenomenon of European significance, he was completely overlooked by official history. Count de Jorio Frisari publicly questioned how such an illustrious memory could be erased from public consciousness in such a pleasant, welcoming town.

The Molise Delegation is preparing to take action through its research group, led by Duke Ettore d’Alessandro and scientifically coordinated by Count Giulio de Jorio Frisari d’Alena. Supported by other knights and collaborators (Bitonti, D’Aloisio, Lettieri, Lupi), the group aims to pursue research, study, and dissemination, fulfilling the cultural duties of the Order.

GAETA, February 15 and 16, 2025 – On the occasion of the 164th Anniversary of the end of the Siege of Gaeta of 1860–1861, which marked the downfall of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, the Constantinian Order of Saint George desired to continue commemorating the heroic defense, following the path paved since 1991. During this defense, in the presence of Their Majesties King Francis II and Queen Maria Sofia of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, numerous soldiers and citizens valiantly sacrificed their lives within the ancient walls of the “Most Faithful” City, driven by unconditional loyalty and love for their Homeland.

For the first time, this year’s program was organized through a collaboration between the Delegation of Rome and Lazio and the Delegation of Naples and Campania. It saw the attendance of numerous Knights and Dames arriving from Lazio, Campania, Molise, and Basilicata.

The Order was represented by the Secretary General, His Excellency Don Paolo Costantino Borghese, Prince of Nettuno; the Delegate of Rome and Lazio, Marquis Giuseppe Ferrajoli di Filacciano; the Delegate of Naples and Campania, Marchioness Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo of the Princes of Sant’Elia; the Delegate of Molise, Don Ettore d’Alessandro, Duke of Pescolanciano; the Delegate of Basilicata, Noble Dr. Massimo Calenda; the Vicar for the Lazio Provinces, Noble Prof. Attorney Franco Ciufo; and the Representative of the Order for the City of Gaeta, Attorney Salvatore Scafetta.

On Saturday 15th, Prince Borghese and Marquis Ferrajoli met with the Mayor of Gaeta, Dr. Cristian Leccese. Together, they visited part of the city’s Aragonese Castle—originally the Royal Palace of King Alfonso V of Aragon and his Court—which currently houses the Nautical School of the Guardia di Finanza, spending time in the interesting museum area curated by the military corps. Following this, they visited the atrium of the Royal Palace, where King Ferdinand II of Bourbon and the Royal Family lived during the final years of his life. They also visited the Golden Chapel of the Sanctuary of the SS. Annunziata, the favorite place of prayer of Blessed Pope Pius IX in 1848 when he moved to Gaeta with the entire College of Cardinals, and where he was inspired with the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception. At the end of the visit, they were received by the Archbishop of Gaeta, His Most Reverend Excellency Monsignor Luigi Vari, at the Archbishop’s Palace. In the evening, a dinner was held at the Grand Hotel Villa Irlanda, attended by the Mayor of Gaeta and the representatives of the Order who had traveled to the city.

On Sunday 16th, at 10:00 AM, at the Sanctuary of the SS. Trinità at Montagna Spaccata, Knights and Dames were welcomed by the Rector, the Most Reverend Father Daniele Belussi of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions. Before the celebration of Holy Mass, His Most Reverend Excellency the Archbishop of Gaeta, Monsignor Luigi Vari, was invested with the Grand Cross of Ecclesiastical Grace of the Order by the Secretary General of the Order, representing His Royal Highness the Grand Master. The Holy Mass in memory of the Fallen of 1860-61 and Their Majesties King Francis II and Queen Maria Sofia of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies was presided over by His Excellency the Archbishop, concelebrated by the Rector of the Sanctuary and the Secretary of the Archbishop, Father Alessio Tomao, and assisted by the Vicar Prior of Rome and Lazio, Father Ettore Capra. The Vicar for the Lazio Provinces, Prof. Ciufo, coordinated the Knights and Dames, who participated in the Holy Mass wearing the mantle of the Order. Inside the church, the banners of the Constantinian Order and the National Association of Former Students of the Nunziatella Military Academy were present on both sides of the Altar.

At the end of the service, after a brief visit and prayer at the Chapel of the Crucifix—built in the 14th century within the fissures of the Montagna Spaccata, which split during the earthquake that struck Gaeta at the exact moment of the Death of Our Lord Jesus Cristo—the participants, guided by the Rector of the Sanctuary, climbed to the top of the cliff where the Transylvania Battery once stood, which tragically exploded on February 13, 1861. In the evocative square overlooking the entire Gulf of Gaeta, following brief commemorative speeches by Prince Borghese, the Vice President of the Lazio Section of the National Association of Former Students of Nunziatella, Dr. Pasquale Viora, Father Belussi, Attorney Scafetta, and, in conclusion, the Mayor of Gaeta, a moving flag-raising ceremony took place. This was coordinated by the Historical Reenactment Association “1st King’s Regiment”, whose members wore historical uniforms and saluted the flag with blank shots. This was followed by the casting of a floral wreath into the sea for the Fallen of the Siege, offered by the National Association of Former Students of Nunziatella, with the participation of President Emeritus Dr. Giuseppe Catenacci. At the end, the Knights and Dames, together with the large public in attendance, gathered on the enchanting square at the top of the cliff, greeting each other fraternally.

After the ceremony, the representatives of the Order who traveled to Gaeta, together with the Mayor, were received for lunch by Commendatore President Vincenzo Zottola at the Aeneas’ Landing Resort.

The entire day, full of light and emotion, unfolded in a spirit of harmony, which helped unite the Knights and Dames even further in this first experiment of fraternal and communal collaboration between the Delegations of our Order.

The customary investiture ceremony of new Knights and Dames took place on Sunday, August 25, on the occasion of the festivities of the Holy Martyr Alexander (whose relics are preserved by the d’Alessandro family) at the ducal chapel of the d’Alessandro castle in Pescolanciano. The entrance of the approximately 14 honourees was organized in all the details of chivalric tradition, thanks also to the support of the celebrating chaplain Father Luigi Castiello, Commander of Ecclesiastical Grace, assisted by the delegate chaplain Father Giuseppe Graziano, Vice Prior, who took over from H.E. Most Rev. Mons. Giancarlo Bregantini due to unforeseen personal commitments.

The overwhelming ceremony, celebrated in the religious area where the sacred relics of the Holy Martyr Alexander, brought to the castle in 1656 by the first Duke Fabio d’Alessandro by Apostolic indult of Pope Innocent X, are kept, was attended by a significant number of faithful and family members. On the occasion the new collection of donations for the purchase of wheelchairs, which the Molise Delegation will donate to health care facilities for the elderly or directly to the local needy, was announced and implemented. Delegate Duke Ettore d’Alessandro of Pescolanciano then welcomed the Knights with their families and friends to the various apartments opened for the occasion, including the museums apartments managed in collaboration with volunteers (Foundation Intramontes) and the municipality, focusing on details of local and family history. In the continuation a delicious breakfast was prepared with typical local products, carefully followed in details by the Secretary Knight Comander Giuseppe D’Amico (who also took a commendable interest in the organization of logistic in the castle), at a restaurant near the village of Macchia d’Isernia, where the fortress of the Vice Delegate Knight Giulio De Jorio Frisare was located.

Finally, in the afternoon, the event concluded with a round table discussion, held in a Buonicontri-d’Alessandro room of the Pescolanciano castle, to commemorate the cultural figure, with his scholarly works, of Professor Antonino Di Iorio from Molise, official hagiographer of the Ducal d’Alessandro family and “legitimist” historian of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. To him, in his memory, the Molise Delegation sponsored the issuance of a Medal of Merit, collected by his son Pasqualino Di Iorio, who thanked the Delegate, on behalf of all, and his cousin Ivano.
